Okay I really fell in love with this craft from Flamingo Toes, it was just so elegant and simple, exactly my style.
I pretty much did everything that she did, except I used a sharpie to write my words. I tried the whole stitching thing, but it looked terrible. So I got out my trusty sharpie and done! My kids really got a kick out of the stitched paper, especially when I scrapped my first one that I tried the stitching on - they all tried to lay claim to it. Here is my version:
I had a hard time decided exactly how I wanted to do my rosettes, but in the end I decided to go with these ones because they gave it a little bit more color.
Another great things about this project was that it was practically free. I had everything, but then I saw this frame at the thrift store for 99 cents and could not resist. This is also my craft for Ucreate's create with me.
Jen!! I love it!! It turned out so cute and I love that you used a sharpie on the stitched fabric. What a fun idea!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shoutout too. :)
